Canada House

The world's largest log-built house — steak by firelight,
weddings by the water, gatherings under forty-foot pines.

The House

Built from Canada itself

One thousand logs of eastern white pine and Douglas fir, drawn from Ontario, Québec and British Columbia. Pink granite from the Canadian Shield. White quartz from the La Cloche Mountains. Five hundred hands, three years, and original paintings by Ojibwe artist James Simon Mishibinijima on every wall. They named it Canada House because the country is, quite literally, in its bones.

The heart of the house. Forty-foot vaulted log trusses, a floor-to-ridge stone fireplace, and room for two hundred and fifty beneath the pines that built it.

“We visited the world's largest log-built structure.”

Meetings & retreats

Twenty-five to two hundred and fifty delegates

Boardrooms that smell of white pine, plenaries under forty-foot ceilings, and breaks that happen on a bay instead of a hallway. Birthdays · anniversaries · reunions
