Weddings on Georgian Bay

Vows on the granite. Cocktails at golden hour. A last dance under forty-foot trusses.

The setting

One venue. One team.
The whole weekend.

Most venues give you a room. Canada House gives you a weekend — welcome barbecue on Friday, granite-shore ceremony and grand-hall reception on Saturday, farewell brunch on Sunday. Your guests sleep in cabins by the water, your photographs happen on a provincial-park shoreline, and one events team carries every detail from the first call to the last dance.

The ceremony

Say it on the granite

The Water's Edge Terrace hangs over the Killarney Channel. The lawn rolls to the cove. And the pink granite shoreline — polished by ten thousand years of Georgian Bay — has witnessed more vows than any officiant. When the weather writes its own plans, Granite Ridge Hall stands ready with a stone fireplace and forty-foot ceilings.

Eloping, or celebrating small? Packaged elopements from $2,699 and micro-weddings from $3,729 — see the packages below.

The guest list

Everyone stays. No one drives.

Canada House sits inside Killarney Mountain Lodge — waterfront log cabins, executive suites and lodge rooms wrap around the venue, so your guests walk home from the dance floor. The next morning there are saunas, kayaks, sailboats and a provincial park to keep them busy while you sleep in.

The itinerary

Your wedding, as a weekend

This is how couples actually run it here — every piece below is something our team already does.

Friday

Arrive & exhale

Guests check into cabins and suites steps from the venue. A welcome barbecue or Georgian Bay fish fry on the water gets everyone acquainted, and the wedding party closes the night with a rehearsal dinner in Captain's Quarters.

Saturday morning

Getting ready, catered

Lunch is delivered to the wedding party while hair, makeup and nerves happen — nobody leaves the property, nobody misses a moment.

Saturday, golden hour

Ceremony & cocktails

Vows on the lawn, the terrace or the pink granite. Cocktails follow as the sun drops over the channel — with Granite Ridge Hall standing by as the weather plan you'll never worry about.

Saturday night

Dinner & the dance

The Georgian Bay Elegance dinner lands course by course under forty-foot trusses, the cake (made in-house) is cut, and the floor is yours until the last song.

Sunday

Brunch & slow goodbyes

A farewell brunch for everyone, then saunas, kayaks and the lighthouse walk before the drive home. One venue, zero logistics, a full weekend of it.

The photographs

Your album does
the bragging

Photographers ask to shoot here. Within a five-minute walk of the dance floor: the pink granite shoreline, the covered timber bridge at golden hour, the docks and sailboats, the Canada House gables, and Killarney Provincial Park's quartz hills for the adventurous.

  • The pink granite shoreline — ten thousand years of backdrop
  • The covered bridge, lit gold at sunset
  • The docks, the marina and the channel
  • The lawn with the great gables behind
  • The lighthouse walk & La Cloche views

Questions

Asked before every wedding

How many guests can we invite?

From the two of you to three hundred. Granite Ridge Hall seats 200 for dinner and holds 300 for a standing reception — the room is licensed for 406 — and smaller rooms scale down gracefully to a dozen.

Can we marry outdoors?

Yes — the Water's Edge Terrace, the Canada House Lawn and the granite shoreline are the favourites. If Georgian Bay sends weather, the grand hall is a spectacular plan B that many couples choose on purpose.

Who handles food and drink?

Our culinary team — the same kitchen behind The Ranch House steakhouse. Menus are tailored to you, and every couple sits down for a tasting with the executive chef before the big day.

Where do our guests sleep?

On site. Waterfront log cabins, executive suites and lodge rooms surround Canada House — reserve a block and the whole guest list walks home from the reception.

How far ahead should we book?

Peak summer Saturdays are spoken for seasons in advance — twelve to eighteen months ahead is comfortable. Shoulder-season dates offer more flexibility; ask our team what's open.

How do we get pricing?

Elopements ($2,699 for six) and micro-weddings (from $3,729 for fifteen) have published packages. Grand weddings are proposed to your menu, venues and weekend plan — send your date and guest count and we'll reply within one business day.
