The lodge is your lobby — a provincial park for a backyard.
Between events
Between the white quartzite mountains and the pink granite outcrops, you've arrived at some of the best hiking in the province — and some of the best sailing, paddling and fishing in Georgian Bay. This is what turns a wedding or a retreat into a few days people never forget.
Hiking
The Lighthouse and George Island trails begin and end right here in town. Ask about guided hikes with a naturalist.
Easily one of the most rewarding hikes in Ontario. Forest gives way to smooth white quartzite, then giant boulders, then vistas over Killarney and the bay. Pack a snack and stay a while.
Reached by a short boat shuttle across the channel. Easy stretches give way to a rocky, rewarding middle and third section — true Georgian Bay wilderness.
A local favourite for birding and evening strolls, ending at the little red-and-white lighthouse on the pink granite point. Quiet and solitary at the right hour.
Expansive viewpoints in both directions — Collin's Inlet and Philip Edward Island to the south, the white La Cloche Mountains to the north.
An easy interpretive hike over the famous pink granite, with information along the way and incredible views out to Philip Edward Island.
On the water
A full-service marina, a sailing fleet and a bay full of islands. Paddle among the pink granite, swim off the transom, or head out with a fishing charter and cast for pickerel and bass.
